welcome

Welcome to the land of Clootielugs where squirrels, rabbits and their like rule the roost. I love to make and sew and find inspiration from many sources although nature in its many forms tends to be the thing that fires my imagination most often!

You can see and purchase many of my creations on Folksy:

This week I have been captivated by the beautiful embroidery work on display at Folksy. Choosing just these six was really hard!

I love this cushion by maxemilia.
There are so many more unique designs
in her shop I struggled to pick
just one to feature!

The Glass Mountain Kate Popovski's work is just a joy to behold!
The sweetest little characters depicted
in such glorious detail and simplicity!
View more of her work at her shop

For something quite different but so much fun
you would struggle to find better than this zombie
embroidered notebook
by fiona t

Irresistibly cute! view these and other adorable shoes at BellaBella

Aren't these cupcake pin cushions great? They're by Mitbits and come in a huge range of colours!

And finally, I can't blog about embroidery at Folksy and not mention the work of Lynwoodcrafts,I've chosen a brooch called 'Heather Hills', she manages to capture the texture and light of nature so brilliantly in all her work!

I took part in a wonderful day at Craigtoun Park, outside of St Andrews in Fife at the weekend. It was a teddy bears picnic in aid of the charity CLIC Sargent who work to support children who have cancer and their families. I met some great people, made a bit of money and had a lot of fun!
I spent Monday photographing and listing lots of new stock for my shop at Folksy. I've a new range of tealight lantern covers and some tea cosies too!
OH!...a couple new doorstop friends have joined the pack, but quick! They may not hang around too long!
